"Global Studio" is born..

A new beginning for my career and photography!

Global Studio LogoIt's been so time since my last post where I wrote about our idea to setup a new business venture running a photographic studio for amateurs and semi-professionals; in fact it's been nearly three months!

During this time we have been doing a lot of thinking about how we can achieve this goal, and importantly not at the risk of either our financial stability, my passion for photography, or losing touch with the technology I so desperately enjoy working with.

After deliberation it was decided that our priority should be to establish a core-business model that would provide financial stability whilst still allowing us to branch out in other directions without the fear of contractual obligations and time constraints.  With this in mind we have developed a business model that can not only translates into the concept of a 'development studio' providing software design and consultancy, but can also branch out into other business opportunities and personal aspirations.

The name for this all-encompassing business venture is Global Studio, and initially it will focus on providing software design and consultancy to medium-sized businesses looking to take their development projects to the next level. Currently based in our new home-office outbuilding we will begin trading on the 1st of July, and I'm pleased to say we already have business on the books.

It will be some time before a more photographic-centric business can develop, but as this arrangement affords me both time and flexibility I will now be embarking on many of the photographic projects I've held dear for so long; your participation in them would be wildly appreciated!

Little Me

An enthusiastic and passionate semi-professional photographer for many years I took the decision in 2008 to side step my successful career as a Solutions Architect and devote my time to photography.

This blog is a catalog of my trials and tribulations on that journey.
