Cute dog and photo manipulation

I simply love this shot of a dog I found laying on the pavement enjoying the mid-day sun. However it exemplifies my internal battle regarding photo manipulation. How wonderful it would be if that table leg hadn't been there, but it was, and so should it remain.. possibly!?
